P90X & Insanity Feedback Wanted

I've been debating on getting the P90X workout or the Insanity workout. Both are by Beachbody, and I love my Beachbody workouts like Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam and Slim in 6. I just wanted to see if any of you out there have ever tried either of these workouts, and the pros/cons you've faced with them.

I know when it comes to P90X, they are always enouraging people to post their result videos on YouTube, and I came across this cute parody with one of the member's kids. Enjoy and thanks for the feedback!!

Also, I'd like to give a shout out to my mom who joined Weight Watchers and started taking some pilates, step and butt & gut classes at her local park district and lost 5 lbs this last week! Way to go Mom!!!

  1. Yahoo for your mom!!! Wish I could say I have done one of these but I have not.. sorry! Looks like both will kick butt but isn't the Insanity one even more hard core? I don't know for a fact.

Loved the pool pic from the previous post!

Does not look like we will be going to Boise this year.. I guess no meet. :-(

  2. I've seen infomercials in passing for Insanity. Honestly, Cher, even if I were in better shape (which I most certainly am not), I don't think I'd try this. It looks the perfect way to give yourself a heart attack.

There's being fit, and then there's putting yourself into a danger zone. I personally don't think a "killer body" is worth the risk of dropping dead where you stand.

    Just my thoughts, 'course.

  4. Thanks Jody!! I know some people that have it, and say it's hard as hell, and most have quit the program within 30 days of ordering it, so I have no one I know that has completed the "90 days".. lol
