What a freakin' workout!! I only did the half hour Xpress Spin that the club offers, which is geared toward beginners, or those that don't have time for a full hour class, but at this point, I can't even imagine a full hour! hahaha! Not yet anyway. My quads and knees were still buring from my lunge workouts, so when it was time to stand and peddle.. ugh. I did it for as long as I could. Anymore and I would have ended up crying from the pain. I really don't like doing anything that's going to put me out of commission for the next day, and I know I have kickboxing today.
For my friends and family not familiar with spinning, yes, it's kind of like an exercise bike, but between the tension, standing, sitting, climbing, sprinting, etc., it's a workout like no other. I sweated my ass off yesterday! I'm looking forward to building up my endurance and stamina, and kicking some major butt and hopefully within a month or so trying an hour class. Right now, I'm lucky because this half hour express class is right after work. The instructor didn't realize it was my first class since she's seen me in the club so much, so she said next week to come a little early and she'll help me with adjusting my tension and bike so that the standing/running on the spinner will be easier on my knees. It was fun though. I can't wait for next week!!
Kickboxing is tonight. I'm still not able to get my butt outta bed in the morning to get a workout in, but I'm sure in time I'll slowly start waking up in time to get it in! Happy Tuesday!! Have a great day!
