You know as well as I do, when we make positive changes in our lives and they are noticed, it makes us feel great, and keeps us motivated to keep going. The "have you lost weight?" or "wow, you look great!" comments are always welcome, and feed us with the positive energy we need to keep doing what we're doing, or maybe even push us to try and do better.
The great thing about it, too, is how we can be inspiration to others. People see the changes you are making, and positive energy like that can be contageous! With all the winter to spring colds and flu going around, it's nice to have something more positive passed from person to person! People ask what or how you are doing what you are doing is a great way to share your tips that have worked for you, and also the knowledge you may have gained along with the way. When you are healthy, you feel good, and that translates to the world a wonderful glow and energy about you.
True, the scale, or our clothes fitting better help that motivation, but when it's noticed outside of our own home, it can be a rush, and really keep us in check and.. what's my favorite word? Accountable!!!
Funny thing is, when you start on a healthy lifestyle, the more you are committed, it eventually becomes easier and easier, and next thing you know it IS your lifestyle, not just some "diet". The other nasty 4 letter word. Start slow, but START!! Have a great day!
I so agree with this! I always make it a point to tell people that I see changes when they have been working hard or just to say how good they look. I know it means a lot to me & therefore it probably means a lot to someone else. There is nothing like positive feedback to spur you on & make you feel good about yourself!ReplyDelete
